Wreaths Across America
|
|
 |
That is the message that Wreaths Across America would share with all veterans. From one generation to another, we will NEVER FORGET that the freedoms we enjoy, came at such a great cost.
Call To Action
Don’t miss an opportunity to thank a veteran. Whether it is veterans Day, Memorial Day, or the Holidays—every day servicemen and women put themselves in harm’s way to do their jobs and preserve our freedoms. Take a moment amid the hustle and bustle of this holiday season—to get involved and show your appreciation.
Wreath Laying Ceremony - 16 Dec 2017
Ceremonial wreaths for each branch of the military will be sent to all of the participating State and National cemeteries along with many local town cemeteries and monuments. Wreaths will also be provided for 24 offshore cemeteries, including Normandy Beach and a large Veteran’s commemorative wreath will be sent to each state’s State House for the ceremony on the Monday prior to the WAA Saturday event.
We invite you to attend and lay your wreath(s) at: Golden Gate National Cemetery 1300 Sneath Lane San Bruno, CA 94066
on 16 December 2017 at 8:30am. If you cannot attend we would be honored to lay your wreath(s) for you.
Mission
The Wreaths Across America™ mission can be recounted in this simple statement:
Remember- Honor- and Teach
Remember the fallen;
Honor those who serve and
Teach our children the value of freedom.
Philosophy
Wreaths Across America™ maintains no political or religious agenda, but rather a mission to remember and honor our veterans during the holidays, a time of traditional family get-togethers, and the perfect learning opportunity to teach our children that we are able to do so, in peace, because of the many sacrifices made by our military men and women.
"My fellow citizens of the world: ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man."
John F. Kennedy - 35th United States President (1917 - 1963)
“We will always remember. We will always be proud. We will always be prepared, so we will always be free.”
Ronald Reagan - 40th United States President (1911 – 2004)
